A majority of workers rate access to a workplace retirement plan and life insurance as either important or extremely important when measuring occupational benefits. In the survey titled “The Changing Face or Retirement – The Workplace Perspective,” 70% of the 9,000 respondents ranked a company’s retirement plan with employer contributions as either important of extremely important. Also, 52% percent of the respondents identified life insurance as an important or extremely important among workplace benefits.
The noted survey was published by The Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies in collaboration with AEGON N.V. It is a result of compiling responses from 9,000 people from the U.S. and 8 European countries.
